Hi Friends,
We are off to a very slow start in November as five planets are retrograde including Mercury & Venus. The month opens with deep emotional reflection, tied to the tail end of Venus and Mercury retrograde periods. Past connections, old financial habits, or unresolved talks may resurface for reevaluation rather than new starts.
The turning point will occur when Venus and Mercury turn direct around November 13, green lights return for making clear commitments, signing agreements, and smoothing out partnership friction.
The astrology shifts from intense, inward Scorpio energy into expansive, optimistic Sagittarius season after November 22, the energy opens up dramatically. Adventure, travel, and forward-looking optimism take over just as the holiday season begins.
The ruler of Sagittarius is Jupiter which will align with retrograde Venus on November 4, retrograde Venus in Libra forms an exact sextile (60°) with Jupiter in Leo. Venus rules love, relationships, beauty, pleasure, values, and money/resources. Jupiter rules expansion, luck, generosity, optimism, growth, and abundance.
A sextile is a harmonious, opportunity-oriented aspect that supports cooperation and ease when you actively engage with it (it is not as automatic as a trine).Because Venus is retrograde, the energy is more reflective and review-oriented than a normal direct Venus-Jupiter contact.
Also on November 4, the Sun forms an exact conjunction with Mercury in Scorpio. This is the inferior conjunction (also called a Mercury Cazimi when very close), occurring while Mercury is retrograde. The Sun represents identity, vitality, conscious purpose, and self-expression. Mercury rules thinking, communication, information, analysis, and short-term decisions.
A conjunction fuses these energies, highlighting mental clarity, focused ideas, and the link between what you think/say and who you are. Because this is an inferior conjunction during Mercury retrograde in Scorpio, the tone is more internal, investigative, and revisional rather than a normal direct Sun-Mercury conjunction.
This month’s New Moon in Scorpio occurs on November 9, 2026, at approximately 07:01 UTC (2:02 AM EST), at 16° of Scorpio.
Astrological Themes:
A New Moon is traditionally a time for setting intentions, planting seeds, and initiating new beginnings in the areas of life ruled by the sign involved.
Scorpio emphasizes:
Depth, intensity, transformation, and regeneration (“death and rebirth”)
Intimacy, trust, shared resources/money, power dynamics, and emotional honesty
Psychological insight, shadow work, self-mastery, and releasing what no longer serves (including patterns around control, debts, addictions, or emotional burdens)
Passion, resourcefulness, focus, and probing beneath the surface
This lunation favors commitments to genuine, lasting change rather than superficial adjustments. It supports working on self-mastery, exploring what feels missing or out of control in your life, and starting fresh in matters of closeness, shared finances, or personal power. Privacy and determination often matter more than public announcements—many beginnings under Scorpio can start quietly and build force over the following weeks.
Mercury is still retrograde in Scorpio (until about November 13). The New Moon widely aligns with it, so the past, unfinished conversations, and previously overlooked information remain relevant. New starts may involve reviewing or reworking something rather than launching completely from scratch. Clarity can emerge, but irreversible decisions are best approached carefully.
Venus is also retrograde (in Libra until around November 13–14), adding a layer of reflection on values, relationships, and attractions.
The New Moon widely squares the Mars-Jupiter alignment in Leo, which can inject drive, confidence, or drama, but also potential for stubbornness, excess, or power struggles if not channeled constructively.
Overall, this is an intense, introspective New Moon occurring near the end of two major retrogrades (Mercury and Venus station direct within days). It carries a strong “clear out the old to make room for the new” quality.
A powerful transit will occur on November 15-16, when Mars forms an exact conjunction with Jupiter in Leo (around 25° Leo).
Astrological Meaning:
Mars represents drive, action, courage, initiative, competition, energy, and assertion. Jupiter represents expansion, optimism, luck, growth, abundance, confidence, and opportunity. A conjunction fuses these energies, amplifying both: bold, confident action meets expansive possibilities.
In Leo (a fixed fire sign associated with self-expression, leadership, creativity, pride, and being seen), the combination emphasizes:
Taking bold, courageous, or high-visibility action
Confidence, leadership, and stepping into the spotlight
Ambitious moves, competition, or launching ventures with enthusiasm
Physical energy, athletic drive, and a sense that “big things are possible”
Generosity of spirit mixed with assertiveness
Astrologers generally view this as one of the more dynamic and potentially fortunate transits of the period—often described as supportive of initiative that can lead to growth, recognition, or “lucky breaks” when effort is applied. It favors starting projects, pitching ideas, competing, or pursuing goals that require both courage and a bigger vision.
The energy begins to shift on November 22, when the Sun enters Sagittarius at approximately 07:23 UTC (2:23 AM EST). This marks the start of Sagittarius season, which runs until the Sun enters Capricorn around December 21 (the winter solstice in the Northern Hemisphere).
What this shift Means:
The Sun represents identity, vitality, conscious focus, and life force. When it moves from Scorpio into Sagittarius, the collective mood shifts from the intense, introspective, transformative energy of Scorpio toward a more expansive, outward-looking, and optimistic tone.
Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign ruled by Jupiter.
Its core themes include:
Exploration, adventure, and seeking broader horizons
The search for truth, meaning, and higher knowledge
Optimism, enthusiasm, and a philosophical outlook
Travel (literal or metaphorical), learning, teaching, and expanding one’s worldview
Freedom, honesty, and aiming for something larger than the immediate or personal
During this period, people often feel more restless for new experiences, more interested in big-picture questions (“What do I believe?” “Where am I headed?”), and more willing to take risks or broaden their perspectives. Energy tends to lift after the denser emotional waters of Scorpio season. There is a natural pull toward growth, generosity, and connecting with something beyond the self—whether through study, travel, philosophy, spirituality, or cultural exploration.
This month’s Full Moon in Gemini occurs on November 24, at approximately 14:53 UTC (9:53 AM EST), at about 2° of Gemini. The Sun is at the same degree of Sagittarius, creating the classic opposition that defines a Full Moon. It is sometimes called the Beaver Moon and is noted by some sources as a supermoon.
Core themes of a Gemini Full Moon:
A Full Moon is a time of culmination, illumination, release, and heightened awareness. Gemini (ruled by Mercury) emphasizes:
Communication, information, ideas, and curiosity
Duality, flexibility, and multiple perspectives
Learning, local connections, short trips, and mental activity
Sorting signal from noise and integrating different viewpoints
Opposite the Sagittarius Sun (ruled by Jupiter), this lunation highlights the polarity between the “lower mind” (details, facts, immediate information) and the “higher mind” (big-picture beliefs, meaning, and philosophy). It can bring clarity around conversations, decisions involving information, or the need to balance curiosity with a broader sense of purpose.
Key Aspects and Atmosphere of this Full Moon:
Aligns closely with Uranus (in Gemini) — adding potential for sudden insights, breakthroughs, unexpected news, or a restless, innovative quality
Squares Mars — which can increase restlessness, impatience, or a push to act on information (or argue about it)
Harmonizes with Pluto and Neptune — offering deeper insight, psychological awareness, or intuitive/imaginative support
Coming just two days after the Sun entered Sagittarius and shortly after Mercury and Venus turned direct; this is the first Full Moon with both inner planets moving forward again. It can feel mentally lively, talkative, and clarifying, with a stronger-than-usual urge to process and release ideas, stories, or assumptions that no longer fit.
Our motivation changes on November 25, as Mars enters Virgo at approximately 23:37 UTC (6:37 PM EST). This marks a shift in how drive, energy, and action are expressed.
What this shift means:
Mars represents action, initiative, desire, courage, competition, and physical energy. In Leo (where it had been since late September), its style was bold, dramatic, confident, and attention-seeking. Entering Virgo redirects that energy toward precision, practicality, analysis, and efficiency.
Mars in Virgo Emphasizes:
Focused, detail-oriented, and methodical action
Productivity, problem-solving and refining systems or skills
Discipline, caution, and a drive for correctness and improvement
Work involving precision (crafts, health routines, organization, techniques, analysis)
Service-oriented effort and practical self-improvement
People often feel more motivated to tackle tasks that require careful attention, fix what’s inefficient, organize daily life, or improve health and work habits. Energy becomes sharper and more purposeful rather than flashy. There can also be greater irritability, perfectionism, or nervous tension if standards become too rigid or criticism turns outward.
Duration and Context:
Mars typically spends about two months in a sign, but this transit through Virgo is longer and interrupted because of an upcoming Mars retrograde (January 10–April 1, 2027). Mars remains in Virgo until about February 21, 2027, then retrogrades back into Leo, and re-enters Virgo later (around May 14, 2027) before moving on.
This ingress follows closely after the Full Moon in Gemini (November 24) and the Sun’s entry into Sagittarius (November 22). The high-energy Mars-Jupiter conjunction in Leo on November 16 gives way to a more grounded, workmanlike approach. Action shifts from bold expression toward practical results and refinement.
On November 28, Venus forms a sextile to Jupiter for the second time this month. This aspect will be active for a day or two on either side). Venus is now direct in Libra and Jupiter in Leo. This version feels more forward-moving and available for new growth. The same supportive 60° aspect now supports taking action on the harmonious possibilities that may have been reviewed earlier in the month.
What a Venus–Jupiter sextile brings this time around:
Venus rules love, relationships, beauty, values, pleasure, and resources. Jupiter rules expansion, luck, optimism, generosity, and broader perspective. A sextile is a harmonious, opportunity-oriented aspect that encourages cooperation when engaged with consciously.
Typical themes include:
Warmth, ease, and goodwill in social and romantic interactions
Generosity (both giving and receiving)
Pleasant opportunities in relationships, creative projects, or finances
A lighter, more optimistic mood and greater enjoyment of life’s pleasures
Support for harmony, fair exchanges, and mutually beneficial connections
This is generally considered one of the more fortunate and enjoyable aspects. It favors social gatherings, creative expression, romantic gestures, and situations where kindness or openness can open doors. Spending may also feel easier, so a touch of moderation helps keep the expansion constructive.
On November 29, Uranus forms an exact trine to Pluto (around 6:21 AM EST / 11:21 UTC), at approximately 3° Gemini (Uranus) and 3° Aquarius (Pluto). This is the second of five exact passes in a rare series that runs from mid-2026 through mid-2028.
Significance of this Aspect:
Uranus and Pluto are slow-moving outer planets, so their aspects shape longer-term collective and generational themes rather than short personal events. A trine (120°) is a harmonious, flowing aspect that allows their energies to work together with relative ease.
Uranus represents innovation, sudden change, awakening, freedom, technology, and breaking free from outdated structures.
Pluto represents deep transformation, power, regeneration, the underworld of the psyche, and the dismantling/rebuilding of systems at a fundamental level.
When they form a trine, the urge for radical change and the force of profound transformation support each other. This can manifest as progressive breakthroughs, constructive reform, technological or social evolution that feels more integrated than purely disruptive, and opportunities for empowerment through innovation.
Historically, Uranus–Pluto aspects mark periods of major societal shifts. The previous major contact was the square series of the 2010s (often linked to intense upheaval). The current trine series (building from 2025 and exact 2026–2028) is the first harmonious major aspect between them since the conjunctions of the 1960s. Many astrologers see it as a phase of integrating and building upon earlier revolutionary seeds in more sustainable or evolutionary ways.
Lastly, the Sun forms a trine to Saturn on November 30, exact around 06:06 UTC (approximately 1:06 AM EST), with the Sun at about 8° Sagittarius and Saturn at about 8° Aries.
What the aspect means:
The Sun represents identity, vitality, conscious purpose, will, and life force. Saturn represents structure, discipline, responsibility, limits, time, and long-term achievement. A trine (120°) is a harmonious aspect that allows these energies to flow together constructively.
This combination typically brings:
Greater focus, maturity, and realism
Steady progress toward goals through disciplined effort
A sense of inner stability, patience, and reliability
Recognition or solidification of earlier hard work
Practical ambition and the ability to take on responsibilities with confidence
It is often described as a supportive day for concentrating on long-term plans, organizing priorities, or making measured progress. The energy favors seriousness without heaviness—more like productive determination than restriction.
