Hi Friends,
There is significant cosmic movement this month as four planets are switching signs in June. Venus, Mercury, Jupiter and Mars will all be changing their placements, primarily into earth and water signs. Last month Saturn left Pisces and is now in the pioneering sign of Aries. It is joining Neptune which entered Aries at the end of March. This dynamic duo will help with fresh starts and letting go of unneeded things and situations. In fact, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune, will be very active in June, as they get entangled in several square alignments toward the middle of the month.
The general overall themes for June will be emotional growth and home life. Jupiter’s move into Cancer and the New Moon in Cancer emphasize nurturing, family connections, and emotional security. This is a month to strengthen bonds and create a sense of “home,” whether through physical spaces or relationships.

This month’s cosmic activity begins on June 6 when, Venus enters her home sign of Taurus and will be here from June 6 to July 4, 2025. In Taurus, Venus is naturally very sensual, content, and possessive. We seek security and value those things that are long-lasting. Our appetite for pleasure is strong. The sign of Taurus values the here and now and the world of the five senses. Tangible and physical expressions of love and romance figure strongly during the Venus-in-Taurus cycle. Holding on to someone or something we love is our tendency under this influence.
The shadow side of this is excessive possessiveness and treating our partners as objects that we own or want to own. On the financial side, Venus in Taurus looks for high-quality, solid, practical, and long-lasting items. Holding on to our possessions is more likely now. With art, tastes, and pleasures, we prefer things that are earthy, natural, and grounded. We can be somewhat indulgent at this time. Uncertainty bothers us more than usual–we favor stability over excitement in love and pleasure.
On June 8, Mercury will enter the emotionally sensitive sign of Cancer. This transition is expected to bring a shift in communication styles, moving from Gemini’s fast-paced and intellectual exchange to Cancer’s more emotional and nurturing approach. Specifically, this transit will encourage individuals to tap into their feelings and speak from the heart. Additionally, Jupiter will enter Cancer the following day (June 9), further amplifying themes of home, family, and emotional foundations.
During this Jupiter in Cancer cycle, we place strong emphasis and value on the emotions and instincts to nurture. We attract the best fortune when we are sympathetic, charitable, use our powers to save and accumulate, and comfort others. Real estate, child care, mother care, and the food industry can be prosperous avenues.
We see opportunities to grow and succeed through emotional channels, expanding our own foundations, and building our families. We are more inclined to believe that emotional intelligence is the major key to solving problems. Connecting intimately is valued.
With a Water sign Jupiter, we have a strong belief in a higher power. We are most able to attract luck and rich life experiences through our intuition, imagination, and compassion. Helping those in need boosts our own morale.
Jupiter not only likes to expand, it likes to learn, so when Jupiter is paired with Cancer, we may be more interested in learning about our roots, exploring genealogy, learning about family traditions, and the like. We might value real estate, owning a home, expanding our home, and building a family. We might have more faith in our family, as its value increases in our eyes.
The full moon this month will highlight the philosophical sign of Sagittarius on June 11. The Gemini-Sagittarius polarity is a mental axis, where Gemini represents the “lower mind” and Sagittarius represents the “higher mind.” The Gemini Sun encourages us to think logically, while the Sagittarius Moon persuades us to think more broadly. Sagittarius symbolizes the quest for meaning and ideas that expand upon the “here and now.” Gemini is comfortable in its immediate environment or neighborhood, while Sagittarius stirs us to venture beyond it.
It’s important to remember that neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire on us. However, the Full Moon invites us to find a balance between the two energies, guiding us towards a harmonious state. This Full Moon is about communication, attitude, and a sense of adventure. Something has been building inside of us, and now is when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out.
Over the next two weeks, we will discover what this means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings–we need to express them. This Full Moon harmonizes with Mars, bringing a sense that if we put some effort into our pursuits, we’ll get results. It’s a strong influence for energy and motivation.
The two giants (Jupiter & Saturn) of our solar system square off once again on June 15. This is the third and final in a set of three such aspects in an approximately ten-month period.
With this outer-planet transit the effects are more of a long-term influence; circumstances present us with an opportunity for personal or professional growth, although the rewards may be delayed. We must restructure our lives or plans in accordance with rules, laws, limits, and the demands of reality. Ultimately, this process can lead to a stronger, more resilient version of ourselves or our projects.
This can be a time of temporary fluctuating finances, increased personal commitments, and sudden obstacles to our goals, energy dips, or ups and downs with our faith/outlook. We might ask ourselves, “Why am I doing this?” What for?” or “What’s the point?” more frequently. There can be a sense that we’re not in the right place at the right time during this phase.
During this period, it is crucial to breathe new life into old plans rather than strike out with a new plan altogether. We may need to make sacrifices in one area of our lives to grow in another. It’s important not to overextend ourselves now and to avoid attempting easy fixes or shortcuts. The need to adjust our expectations is a natural part of the process, and with patience and perseverance, we can confidently navigate current obstacles and challenges.
Our modus operandi changes on June 17 when Mars enters the perfection-oriented sign of Virgo. Mars will transit Virgo from June 17-August 6, 2025.In Virgo, Mars is somewhat of a workhorse. We have a passion for details, as well as a need to do the right thing at just the right time under this influence. The satisfaction of a job well done is one of our greatest incentives now. We are more precise and concerned about performance.
We’re more exacting and concerned with correctness and details in our work, output, or efforts during this cycle. It’s a time of greater caution, skepticism, and discipline. We tend to focus on details and plans, sometimes losing sight of the bigger picture.
While Mars is visiting Virgo, we may find ourselves more interested in health and nutrition. This can lead to a proactive approach to our well-being. The transit also encourages a perfectionistic or workaholic streak, pushing us to excel and master a particular skill. It highlights work with details or requiring precision, such as surgery, bookkeeping, crafts, and musical instruments. It also draws attention to the healing arts, and a keen interest in how things function, techniques, mechanics, and systems.
Be prepared for a time of potential irritability, tension, or nervousness during this transit. While attention to detail and technique is paramount, it’s important to be aware that our vision or confidence may suffer if we limit ourselves. This transit can also bring about competitive or inflamed situations with co-workers, work, routines, or healthcare.
Throughout this cycle, we hold ourselves to high standards and work diligently to be accurate, precise, and efficient. This commitment to excellence is a key theme during this period.
On June 18, our dreams and optimism will be challenged when Jupiter will square Neptune. The alignment is a significant astrological event that involves a challenging 90-degree aspect between Jupiter in Cancer and Neptune in Aries. This square amplifies emotional, spiritual, and idealistic energies, but it also introduces potential for confusion, over-idealization, or unrealistic expectations. Below is a concise explanation of its meaning and impact in Western astrology.
Key Themes of Jupiter Square Neptune
Expansion vs. Illusion: Jupiter, the planet of growth, optimism, and abundance, in Cancer emphasizes emotional security, home, and nurturing. Neptune in Pisces, its home sign, governs dreams, spirituality, and illusions. The square creates tension between Jupiter’s desire for expansion and Neptune’s tendency toward idealism or escapism, potentially leading to overblown expectations or blurred boundaries.
Emotional and Spiritual Sensitivity: This transit heightens intuition and compassion but can also make you prone to emotional overwhelm or wishful thinking. It’s a time to seek spiritual clarity while staying grounded to avoid deception or self-delusion.
Creative Potential and Confusion: The Square inspires creativity, imagination, and empathy, making it a powerful time for artistic or spiritual pursuits. However, it also risks misjudgment, especially in finances, relationships, or decisions, due to Neptune’s foggy influence.
Balancing Faith and Reality: The challenge lies in balancing Jupiter’s optimism with Neptune’s dreamy nature. Misplaced trust or over-idealizing situations could lead to disappointment if not tempered with practicality.
On June 20, our need for nurturing increases as the Sun enters the emotional sign of Cancer. The Sun will be in Cancer from June 20-July 22, 2025. During this transit we are self-protective and insular under this influence. Our attention turns to our nest–our families, homes, and anything that makes us feel “at home,” safe, and secure. Nurturing and caring for our loved ones and pet projects come into focus. Emotions run deep, and we easily tune in to the world of feelings. Note that we are more in tune with the Moon while the Sun is in Cancer.
We may not want to grow up and face responsibilities or the outside world during the Sun-in-Cancer cycle. We should watch for dependence when we’d do better for ourselves otherwise. However, it’s a robust transit for recognizing our needs for comfort, safety, and familiarity. We’re inclined to form strong bonds and protect our loved ones.
The New Moon in Cancer on June 25 continues to amplify the home and safety theme. The New Moon in Cancer is a good time to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Crab. These include honoring our deepest, most irrational and intimate, feelings; recognizing the sense of security and safety we derive from whatever it is we call home; allowing ourselves to accept support and offering support to others; and starting a project aimed at improving our domestic lives or a major long-term venture.
With this potent Cancer energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives that will benefit us well beyond this Moon cycle.
It’s time to make some plans and set the stage for reaping the rewards from our new beginnings, as little or big as they may be, in approximately two weeks’ time after the Full Moon occurs. Concentrate on new ways to enhance family life and domestic affairs, and to build up your feelings of security and safety.
This New Moon aligns with Jupiter and harmonizes with Mars, creating positive and confident energy behind our new beginnings. However, it also forms a quincunx to Pluto and a square to the Saturn-Neptune alignment, complicating things greatly. As much as we want to push ahead with our plans, there can be personal obstacles and blocks primarily related to our independence and personal plans, as well as nagging concerns and fears in our social lives to manage.
Mercury enters Leo on June 26, marking a shift in thinking. This transit will significantly influence communication, thought processes, and self-expression. Mercury, the planet of intellect, communication, and information, moves from sensitive Cancer into bold, confident Leo, bringing a vibrant, creative, and dramatic flair to how we think and communicate. Here’s a concise breakdown of what this transit means:
Key Themes of Mercury in Leo
Bold and Confident Communication: Mercury in Leo encourages expressive, charismatic, and assertive speech. Expect conversations to be lively, passionate, and sometimes theatrical, as Leo’s influence favors standing out and sharing ideas with confidence.
Creative Thinking: This transit sparks creativity in thought and problem-solving. It’s an excellent time for brainstorming, artistic projects, or pitching ideas with flair, as Leo’s energy emphasizes self-expression and innovation.
Leadership and Influence: Mercury in Leo enhances persuasive abilities, making it a great period for leadership, public speaking, or inspiring others. However, there’s a risk of arrogance or dominating conversations, so balance confidence with humility. As you see, focus on self-expression will be the primary themes of the Mercury in Leo transit.
